Personal Description:

Hi, my name is Deirdre. I am an experienced and qualified teacher of Home Economics. I live in South Dublin, close to Dundrum. I have a seasoned experience marking and preparing students for both Junior Cert and Leaving Cert Home Economics. I am also an experienced Junior Cert. Practical Studies examiner and have been marking the exam for the past 11 years.

Tutoring Experience:

I am an experienced Home Economics teacher, currently teaching in a South Dublin school. I teach all year groups from first year through to sixth year, both girls and boys. I teach through Irish too so am equipped to give grinds in my subject through English and Irish. I teach in a very academic school where there is a high focus on points and my student results are always on par with national standards,

I have also taught internationally (USA).

Approach to Grinds:

I have given grinds before and the students happily achieved the grade needed. I work with my students to boost self confidence and improve study technique, using the curriculum, exam papers and routine testing. References are available. I am thorough and pay attention to detail. I have a relaxed, easy nature that accommodates the student and am friendly and approachable.
