Information About Arun - Galway tutor

Personal Description:

I have been teaching computer skills for over 20 years with Age Action Ireland to mature students. The subjects ranged from delivering lessons on Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access (Data Bases), one drive to how to use a mobile phone and related apps. I have also assisted students in web page design using WordPress, and other similar platforms.

One of my many passions is photography and film. In this field, I have over 20 years experience of delivering a service to customers and have also given lessons to students of all ages, learning institutes & NGOs such as Irish Wheelchair, National Learning network & Galway city Partnership.

Recently, I have completed my diploma in education and have registered with The Teaching Council of Ireland. This means that you are insured quality in every lesson delivered by me.

Tutoring Experience:

I have over 20 years’ experience in teaching IT related subjects, videography, and photography to students of all ages and have worked for Age Action Ireland, ATU Galway and Crumlin College Dublin. Furthermore, I have assisted students in preparation for repeating exams both from ATU and University of Galway.

Approach to Grinds:

My motto is empowerment. I have a student-centred approach to teaching and value all student’s life experiences and circumstances. I encourage all students to share their life experience in all lessons where possible. There are multiple ways of doing things and so much that we can learn from each other at the same time. All my lessons are planned with each student's individual needs, I conduct an assessment of needs, ensuring that every student has their educational needs met.
