Izabela's feedback about Stewart (Beginner Saxophone tuition near Edinburgh)
An excellent teacher but also a wonderful human being.
Conor's feedback about Ondřej (Beginner Trumpet tuition near Edinburgh)
Ondrej is absolutely lovely, and so easy to work with. Would absolutely recommend him with confidence!
Emily's feedback about Andy (Casual Keyboard tuition near Edinburgh)
Andy has been a fantastic piano tutor so far! He spends time explaining new concepts clearly and makes sure foundational skills are solid before building upon; ensuring competence and confidence at each stage. This is very helpful as I am a complete beginner. Andy makes sure you have something to practise between lessons and will happily answer any questions you have throughout the week. Andy listened to my requests upon my first enquiry and has been informative throughout. He offered advice to me when I was seeking help in choosing a suitable and affordable digital piano and has recommended useful resources to purchase that can help accelerate sight reading. I look forward to my lessons each week and would highly recommend Andy as a tutor, for any level.
Tavish's feedback about Ioana (Beginner Bass Guitar tuition near Edinburgh)
Just recently picked up the Bass guitar and decided I wanted a teacher. Ioana was definitely the right choice, she's extremely supportive yet also not at all overbearing. She's excellent at making things simple and easy to understand and I find myself progressing week by week. I would recommend her to anyone looking to improve (or just play about) on guitar
Rachel's feedback about Alba (Advanced Flute tuition near Edinburgh)
Alba is fantastic! I was very nervous after not playing since school but she has been really encouraging and has helped me enjoy playing again. She is really good at giving specific things to work on and advice for how to practice better too. After only two lessons my flatemate commented that my practising sounds so much better.
Shuai's feedback about William Gage (Beginner Cello tuition near Edinburgh)
Gage is very friendly and very patient when teaching my daughter who has a light form of autism. Great teacher!
Maia's feedback about Lois (Beginner Singing tuition near Edinburgh)
I haven’t sung before and was nervous about the prospect but I’m the few sessions I’ve had so far, Lois has been fantastic at encouraging me and helping me improve. She’s also been really accommodating of my inability to commit to weekly sessions and I’m really pleased to have had the opportunity to work with her and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a warm and friendly person to teach!
Rosa's feedback about Dominika (Beginner Violin tuition near Edinburgh)
I just had my first lesson with Dominika and was very impressed! I first started playing violin as a child but hadn’t played in about 15 years, so I wasn’t sure exactly how to get back into things, but Dominika was able to pick up very quickly on the areas I needed to focus on and come up with a plan for moving forward. I came out of our lesson very excited and inspired to get back into the habit of playing again. Thank you so much!
Maria's feedback about Robert (Beginner Piano tuition near Edinburgh)
Robert is a great tutor. There is a clear sequence in each lesson, allowing me to develop my skills step-by-step. His explanations are always clear and insightful, and have helped me to appreciate the complexity and beauty of music. Thank you Robert!
Denis's feedback about Patricia (Casual Guitar tuition near Edinburgh)
As a mature student of retirement age, I have decided to learn how to play the guitar properly. I have been strumming most of my adult life but want to improve my skill level to match my Music Theory knowledge. After three visits I can see that I have made the correct choice of a tutor who will help me achieve my goal. I thought that we would have started at a point making use of my knowledge base, but to my delight we have started at the very beginning at the same level as any of her child pupils. This to me is a great advantage because it allows me to overcome my many bad habits while recapping on the theory I do know (but may have forgotten). In our tutorials Patricia is kind, encouraging, and patient demonstrating empathy for her pupil. I could not give this tutor anything but the highest praise for her approach to teaching her subject. In closing I would like to say that if you are thinking of taking lessons from Patricia do not hesitate you will find, as I have, one of the best available tutors for your needs.
