Joe's feedback about Victoria (Beginner Clarinet tuition near Guildford)
Victoria was great! I am an adult learner who plays other instruments and wanted a few technical tips on how to approach learning the clarinet. I left the lesson well armed to continue my practice - and look forward to a follow up lesson in the future :-)
Ian's feedback about David (Beginner Clarinet tuition near Freshwater)
At 77 I am probably one of David's oldest beginner clarinet students. He is an excellent tutor at my level and I have made much better progress under his guidance than would otherwise have been possible. We have a one hour session every two weeks at my own house which is very convenient. I am very happy to recommend him without reservation.
Michael's feedback about Stephen (Beginner Clarinet tuition near Olney)
Stephen was very helpful as I am a complete novice to clarinet. Lots of practical advice and I am already paying a few tunes.
Kwok Wai's feedback about Lydia Catherine (Beginner Clarinet tuition near Telford)
Very nice and patient to help my son to learn the clarinet from begineer. Lydia can give a good advise and methods to help my son with great improvement of performance.
Lorraine's feedback about Karen (Beginner Clarinet tuition near Leeds)
Karen has a lovely ability to gear her lesson to the person she's teaching. I've learned so much in such a short time
Kath's feedback about Naomi (Intermediate Clarinet tuition near Romsey)
I have been having lessons with Naomi for about 9 months now and I would definitely recommend her. My situation was that I hadn't played my clarinet for nearly 40 years and I really needed some help to get back into it. I was still familiar with reading music as I have been singing in a choir, but I was finding it very frustrating that I couldn't play my clarinet as well as I hoped and had forgotten so much about how to play it! Naomi is very patient. She is not controlling, but listens to find out where I need help, and advises me on what I needed to do to improve (fingering, reeds, technique, breathing etc.). In the end I realised that there is no magic bullet and I just have to go back to basics and practise like a beginner! Naomi decided to lend me an old grade 3 book which was ideal (I have since worked through a grade 4 book as well!). She helped me relax and not be too self-critical. Her lessons are a mixture of studies and pieces, and she also brings along some duet books and plays with me, or pieces with a speaker accompaniment, which are great fun to end the lesson with. She doesn't have a set lesson plan but will adapt the lesson to what crops up at the time. She seems laid back but is actually very conscientious and observant. Naomi comes to my house for the lessons, which is handy. If a lesson time needs to be changed, or she is running late, she will always let me know. She is very reliable.
Annette's feedback about Nicola (Beginner Clarinet tuition near Grays)
