Jane's feedback about Michael (Casual Clarinet tuition near Sale)
As an adult returning to playing the clarinet about 20 years after my last lesson at school, I wasn't sure what to expect. I was nervous about playing in front of somebody at all, let alone a teacher but I knew I needed guidance. I've had a couple of lessons with Michael now and he immediately put me at ease. I was surprised how comfortable and enjoyable I found it as we worked through a little sight reading together. He's been really encouraging and has helped me to work on my tone, remembering the joy of making music not just playing the right notes at the right time. I'm looking forward to making progress and finding a way to make playing a pleasure for many years to come. Update: After a year of lessons with Michael I'm so pleased with how far my playing has progressed. I'm really enjoying learning. Michael clearly enjoys teaching. He is really great at encouraging me to reach towards a higher standard than I think possible, being supportive when I've worked hard but struggled and knowing the difference. Back in March, I found adapting to the covid lockdown difficult at first and that showed through in my playing. Michael was patient and empathetic. He reminded me to be kind to myself, learning remotely at a difficult time. That advice really helped me, not just in getting back in getting back on track, which I have, but in my working life too. I really want to extend my thanks to Michael for everything over the last year and I'm still excited about what we can achieve in the future.
Allison's feedback about Laura (Casual Clarinet tuition near Newport)
I have had 3 lessons with Laura to date and feel I have made some real progress already. Laura achieves the right balance of challenging you whilst offering support and encouragement. Due to the lockdown, lessons have been via Zoom but despite this, Laura is still able to pick up even the smallest details and offer advice. Can’t recommend her highly enough.
Stu's feedback about James (Casual Clarinet tuition near Alton)
Jamie has a very relaxed but nonetheless professional manner and with the important good sense of humour. Very good first lesson that discovered just how bad I am after 40 years of not playing the clarinet. Jamie was enthusiastic and not in the least daunted by the challenge of teaching me which says a lot for the man!! Set me some nice but challenging targets and goals for our next Zoom session and I fully intend to have a lesson each week.
Fiona's feedback about Ruaridh (Casual Clarinet tuition near Hamilton)
Very quick at getting back to me. Made me feel very comfortable at my first lesson. Really enjouing my lessons.
