Personal Description:
Fully Qualified Accountant. I have completed my MBA from India and MSc Finance from UCD Smurfit Business School. I also hold a professional Management Accountancy qualification from India as well CIMA (UK). I have a good blend of practical experience working with the largest commercial bank in India. Previously, I worked with one of the Big5 Audit firms as a risk professional in Dublin.
Currently, I am undertaking my full-time PhD in Finance on a project funded by the European Commission. Along with this, I have worked as a part-time lecturer in finance & accounting in Dublin Business School and accountancy school. I am also a member of the marking team for Chartered Accountants Ireland.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been successfully helping students from TCD, UCD, DCU and DIT since 2014 with their grinds in Accountancy, Finance, Economics Statistics and other business modules at both undergraduate and postgradua**Contact Detail Removed**vel.
Group rates and rates for grinds on regular basis are negotiable and would be lower.
P.S. The university rates are for undergrad level. For masters level, additional 5 euros per hour will be applied.
At the moment, I am only doing online tutoring.
Approach to Grinds:
Well, Teaching is more like a passion than a profession for me. I am very good at simplifying the complex concepts and making them understand in a best possible way according to individual needs. Students have definitely experienced this during grinds.

Yogesh charged me 60e which was equivalent of 2hrs of work but the work on the project wasn't finished and I doubt he spent 2hrs on this. I had to look for someone else instead to finish the project.

The difficulties I was having remained unsolved. The best thing is for you to teach subjects you are comfortable with and at the level you are comfortable in. No need teaching what you cannot pass on or transfer.

I did not even charge you for commuting which you can read on my profile. I have successfully taught finance to Trinity and UCD students at masters level with 3 times of difficulty level than your syllabus (which was just a third year undergrad).
Next thing is that there were only one or two small questions which were quite vague and the method they used were different than mine which we mutually agreed that you could go with the method as you were comfortable with and you were able to solve it yourself. We hardly wasted 10 mins for that. But I gave you that 10 mins extra in both the sessions (total 20 mins) voluntarily as I don't calculate every second unlike you. Rest of the questions, I explained you very well and you seemed clearly happy.
When you are studying finance at advanced level, there are multiple ways to formulate questions and get the answers which has nothing to do with my knowledge or capability. I could formulate some question vaguely which your lecturer might not be able to answer correctly and I can guarantee that. Nonetheless, we covered two full exam question papers in two hours and you were still dissatisfied with how little we covered. Just because you cannot afford the private grind rate, it doesn't mean you have to give somebody such rating. This is what I felt.

From Sandra (/5): (Adult / Casual Accounting) Part of the reason that I chose you is because you said you could travel, after arranging a double class last week on the 10th March for the 18th of March next I then get a text message Thursday asking me to meet up in a coffee shop for this grinds session as it is too expensive for you to travel, I was also asked for €10.00 for travel because I would not agree to travel to a coffee shop in the city centre, when I also refused this and informed you that your services would no longer be required and I would be contacting the company for a refund you then proceeded to ask me for my bank account details, I was shocked at this and asked you not to make any more contact with me but you continued until I informed you I would contact Gardai as I specifically asked you not to txt me any more. I am sorry now that I even used this site. I also did not expect to sit in a coffee shop with lots of distractions, How is it possible to teach/learn in this environment. My time has been totally wasted here, I have had to pay this company for nothing and I also turned down other tutors, believe me I will be seeking a refund and this site will not be recommended by me to any one.

If I was a kind of person as you described, I wouldn't be getting all 4s and 5s ratings from most students. It's quite unfortunate that I have already paid back your money and I am still getting this feedback from you.
First of all, I was trying to discuss very politely regarding what can be done about traveling when you are living so far off from the city which I couldn't see beforehand in your case. You also never asked me about travel arrangements before buying my detail straight away when it's clearly written that travel arrangement to be discussed in advance. I just gave a suggestion to meet at a quiet cafe in the town. If that was not suitable, I just asked you for my travel expenses disregarding extra 2 hours of the amount of time I would spend to travel to and back from your place. It wouldn't make any sense when my hourly rates are already lower. Having said that, I do travel for free to students if I could reach somewhere in a reasonable time. If that was also not suitable, I immediately offered you to return your money which you paid to buy my details along with extra charges for any inconvenience caused to you. Of course I asked for your bank details as I felt it was the most convenient method to transfer your money. For such a small thing, you started threatening me to go to Gardai. I was completely shocked by that although I wasn't afraid of it honestly by your baseless threats. I have given my bank account details to at least 25 students until now to transfer my grind's fees and I never saw anything wrong with it. Despite your threats, I politely asked you to let me know the place where I could meet you to return your money if you weren't comfortable with the bank transfer and you called it harassment and further threatened to me to go to Gardai. This was Just to help you, I did so even though It was an inconvenient time for me. Not only that, I installed your preffered app within seconds on my laptop instead of using skype just to make you comfortable. As the connection internet was bad (which is not my fault), I gave you one hour extra and not only that I gave you a lot more extra time on the phone afterwards. Plus we were talking on phone all the time. so, even if the net connection was bad, you could listen to me very clearly on the phone. And, I anyway sent you the solution in excel which even a 7th grade student could have understood very well.
At the end, I would just say that you need psychiatrist instead of tutor. I doubt whether you will ever be complete a degree in your life because you don't deserve it only.

From Matthew (/5): (University Accounting) Unreliable, was asked to complete a simple 3rd year investment appraisal and failed horribly, it cost me 50% of overall marks from my subject. He reassured me solution is perfect and charged me twice the price, claiming it needed more work. His comments were not correct, simple calculations were inaccurate and even excel formulas were entered incorrectly. I asked for a partial refund and was refused, I have not heard since therefore the negative comment. I can only hope he is not a real lecturer…
