Information About Victoria - Dublin tutor

Personal Description:

My name is Vicky and I am a current graduate medical student (GEM) at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. I received my Bachelors of Science in Cell and Molecular Neuroscience with High Honors (Summa Cum Laude) at Florida State University in the USA. Before moving to Dublin, I took the MCAT (Medical College Admissions Test) that includes biology, chemistry, physics, psychology, and sociology, and scored in the 86th percentile. I am excited to teach students in the sciences, whether they are interesed in medical school, research, or other clinical/lab sciences.

Tutoring Experience:

While at Florida State University, I taught an entry-level course for first-year Honors students to introduce them to the university. I taught small classes biweekly for 2 semesters. I created lesson plans, graded assignments, and scheduled individual check-ins with my students to ensure their success and understanding in my course.

Approach to Grinds:

I like to use questions to guide my teaching. These can either be provided by the student (homework assignment, standardized test study questions, etc) or provided by myself. I teach students not only the knowledge required for the question, but how to actually answer the question by using processes of elimination and other methods.
