Personal Description:
I am a student of University College Cork, currently awaiting the final results of an MA programme in International Relations. I obtained a 1H in both of my chosen BA subjects, History and English, and was twice awarded the title of College Scholar from the College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Science in University College Cork. In 2018, I was also awarded the Polish Ambassador Prize in Polish History, an accolade awarded to the best Undergraduate dissertation in Polish History as part of a joint initiative by the School of History in University College Cork and the Polish Embassy in Ireland. In 2017, I was also awarded an academic scholarship following my acceptance of a place on the MA International Relations programme in University College Cork, My primary interest is in European History, particularly modern European History, Holocaust Studies and Anti-Semitism; my studies in English have thus far included Seventeenth and Eighteenth century Literature, Romance and Realism, and Medieval to Renaissance drama…
Tutoring Experience:
Throughout the 2017/2018 academic year, I have organised and delivered tutorials for the School of History in UCC. I also tutor extensively for the Mature Students Office and Skills Centre there, and I also conduct tutorials on a one-to-one basis privately for students of at both secondary and Third Level, from First year to final year.
Approach to Grinds:
As a current student, I can empathize with the many challenges and difficulties that may arise for Third Level students in particular. My experiences, both as a student and as a tutor, affords me the necessary interpersonal skills to help instil a sense of confidence in my students, enabling them to effectively implement the skills they are constantly learning and developing to solve particular academic issues.
