Personal Description:
I am a qualified teacher with more than fifteen years teaching French, Spanish and English in Spain and Ireland. I provide grinds in French, and Spanish to mainly Junior Cert, Leaving Cert, GCSE and A-level students. I speak fluent French and Spanish and I teach the skills associated with Oral, Aural, Reading and Writing as well as Grammar and Vocabulary. My classes are planned according to the student's individual needs and take place via Zoom using online exam papers or a course-book. Homework including essays is assigned and subsequently corrected.During the school holidays I am also available for daily intensive tuition.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been teaching languages for over fifteen years. I have experience with all age-groups from primary school to adult professionals and with teaching one to one classes and large groups. I am also experienced with students who have learning difficulties such as dyslexia and ADD or students whose first language is not English.
Approach to Grinds:
My role is to facilitate the student in achieving their goal which may be an exam or a language skill. I aim to make my classes student-centred and encourage communication and interaction with myself and the student. I consider the practice of Speaking and Aural skills to be the most meaningful and therefore effective method to learn a language.My classes are topic-based so that language is learnt in context and I use a variety of media to present the topic. I favour a multi-channel approach as the most effective method for learning a language.

My son was doing French outside of school and I’m not sure this model suited Sine as she was unable to correct his mock which was a bit of a draw back. She is very formal and professional and I believe she will have tutored him to the pass in French he requires for matriculation.
