Personal Description:

I have a degree in English and French studies, certifications in journalism and have a wide range of interests. I love music (I play jazz piano), martial arts (sports nerd), art and all things literature and language.

Tutoring Experience:

Tutoring other students, volunteering at summer camps with kids doing arts and crafts and giving museum tours. I also do proofreading/correcting for academic essays online. I have taught English in France while I was studying abroad also which was a great experience. I have been teaching for about 6 years and it is a huge passion of mine to see how my students progress and gain confidence in themselves and their goals. I worked as a volunteer teacher for a Palestinian education centre based in Hebron where I taught English online, and also worked in busy, dynamic and multicultural schools in Sydney, Australia.

Approach to Grinds:

Open and honest, but also fun and ambitious approach to tutoring. My method is to remind the student why they should enjoy the subject, and teach them a new way of thinking about topics to suit their own personal way of learning. I also provide a lot of organisational skills, notes and great resources that may be unheard of to a lot of people. I have experience working with students who struggle with ADHD or mental health struggles, so I have lots of tips and tricks to support along the way and lead with compassion.

My teaching is not only about helping the students to do well in their language learning or their classrooms, but it is about helping them to become confident in their abilities with skills they will take with them in their later life. With me, education will be creative, inspiring and useful for all areas.
