Information About Rosslyn - Dublin tutor

Personal Description:

Hello, my name is Rosslyn and I am currently working at EY and training to be a fully Chartered Accountant. I studied Commerce International at UCD where I took numerous accounting modules as well as finance and other business related subjects. I also did Accounting for my Leaving Cert where I achieved an A1 (>90%).
I'm from Kildare but have lived in Dublin for the past number of years and am currently living in Booterstown.

Tutoring Experience:

I have previously tutored classmates at UCD in accounting and economics. During the course of my job I regularly have to hold training sessions in financial modelling which incorporates many areas of accounting. I have also taught English to students during my Erasmus year in Spain.

Approach to Grinds:

For the accounting LC course my approach is Practice and Theory. Unlike other subjects where material can be learnt off the best approach to preparing for any accounting exam is to do as many questions as possible while analyzing any errors made in the process. I will explain accounting concepts, presentation and workings to ensure maximum marks can be achieved. The accounting paper is relatively consistent each year, and while I do not attempt predict the paper, there is a large amount of marks that can be thoroughly prepared for in advance.
I am happy for the student to explore areas where they are having difficulty/specific aspects of the course or if a more general approach is preferred we will work through on a question by question basis with an exam focus.
