Personal Description:

I hold a PhD in Nuclear Physics and a first-class honours degree in Physics, which have given me an in-depth understanding of both Physics and Mathematics well beyond the Leaving Certificate syllabus. Having been through the Junior and Leaving Certificate exams myself, I am familiar with the challenges students face and the strategies needed to excel. My academic background, combined with my experience and passion for teaching, enables me to simplify complex concepts and guide students towards achieving their full potential. Tutoring Experience:

My teaching experience is in the form of tutoring Junior and Senior cycle students which I have been doing for 8 years. Since that time I have learnt and perfected my approach and ability to read a students current understanding so to tailor the learning to them.

Approach to Grinds:

My approach to grinds would be very systematic, while still very informal. I develop a relationship with my students were, in the case of Senior cycle student, they feel they can contact me at any time if they have questions. I start off by setting simple short assignments for them so that I can gauge their ability; the class from then on will be tailored specifically to them. I do set a range of "homework" which is optional to all students, however, I encourage them to complete it so that they can see their progress as well as myself and their parents/guardians. I also allow all my students to give me work to correct that they may have done by their own accord. All in all my end goals for each student are in line with theirs; to ensure they do the best that they can in their examinations.
