Approach to Grinds:
A Supportive, Results-Driven Approach to Grinds
My approach to tutoring goes beyond helping students understand the subjects they find challenging. I aim to help them build confidence, develop a genuine interest in the material, and see real progress in their results.
I provide students with structured topic and subject packs, along with carefully selected exercises designed to reinforce key content and exam techniques. Each class is one hour long and focuses on breaking down complex material into clear, manageable steps, while also teaching how to use that knowledge effectively in exams.
My lessons are interactive and student-focused. I believe in creating a space where students feel respected, understood, and supported. We work as a team, and my goal is always to meet students where they are and help them reach their full potential.
I offer both one-to-one and small group classes for secondary school students. Sessions are available on weekday evenings and weekends, and students can choose between one-hour or two-hour blocks, depending on their needs.

I appreciate your feedback. I understand that our lessons were limited due to scheduling conflicts. I acknowledge the challenges with using iPads/phones and the difficulty it posed in accessing **E-mail Address Removed**Classroom and completing essays. Regarding the pacing and level of difficulty, I adjusted as per your feedback to increase this, but I regret that we didn't have the chance to discuss it further as there seemed to lack of engagement when I did as directed. I would have been happy to discuss. I provided access to resources even after our lessons ended to support learning. Despite the challenges, I genuinely wish you all the best in your future.
Thanks,
Miriam
I would highly recommend Miriam.
Miriam uses positive reinforcement and constructive feedback, which is clear and direct, which has empowered my daughter to embrace literary challenges (the sandwich approach).
In summary, Miriam's commitment to building confidence, and passion for her subjects makes her an invaluable asset to any student preparing for the English Junior or Leaving Cert. We wholeheartedly recommend her services!
