Information About Michael - Dublin tutor

Personal Description:

I'm an experienced secondary school teacher working in the South Dublin region. I have provided tuition for 8+ years. I'm very competent teaching Geography, English and History to senior cycle HL and have a M.A. Geography from UCD. I have also provided tuition in both Junior and Senior Cycle Home Economics, helping students obtain their goals in the respective subjects.

I provide detailed notes on a topic, develop the students approach to answering exam questions while taking the marking schemes into consideration; along with conscientiously supporting students to reach their potential.

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught in different school settings over the years which provided me with a wide range of experience. Each year, I ensure students are well prepared for their exams, along with the examination paper layout, making schemes etc. I develop various teacher strategies to best suit the students teaching and learning while monitoring their progress. Every year I correct State Examinations, so I'm familiar with the marking schemes, layout of papers and where students gain/lose marks.

Approach to Grinds:

I take a genuine, structured approach to grinds whereby I would meet with students once or twice a week (depending on what the student desires and my own availability), with each lesson directed around the respective course content the student would like tuition and assistance with. I also encourage a casual and relaxed environment which in turn allows the student to gain the most out of their lesson.
