I have many years experience of giving grinds to individuals across the spectrum, from students wishing to enhance their grades with programming practice, to those wishing to fine tune specific projects, to adults independent of a formal education structure and wish to enhance their own skills.
Approach to Grinds:
Patient and Caring tutor who goes the extra mile to ensure students learn and develop their capabilities.
I am comfortable in both traveling to students and hosting sessions in my quite suburban home.
Frequently surpass the hour time limit to ensure student is confident with the lessons of the session.
I also offer excellent post session support for any simple questions that don't need the formalities of an entire lesson.

Mark came out to us and taught a class of non computer literate students with great patience and an even better attitude. The students became confident and self efficient in no time thanks to his teaching style.

My son has an autism spectrum disability and this is his first year at university, studying computing. Finding tutors with the communication skills (to compensate for my son's challenges in that area) and also having patience and the right attitude is not always easy. My son learned so much from his tutoring sessions with Mark, but equally important (in my opinion), my son always ended his sessions with more confidence in his ability to succeed in his course. I highly recommend Mark as a tutor -- Mark is the best!

What I like about his style of teaching is that he goes into deep detail with whatever topic he is teaching. Apart from that, he will also go out of his way to make personal notes for you regarding the topic he is teaching you. I found this very helpful as I could go back to these notes when I wanted to revise a certain topic.
Overall, I enjoyed his teaching and his work. If you are looking for anyone to help you with anything Computer Science related, I advise that you take him into consideration. I believe he is up to the task and very good.

From Scott (/5): (University Computer Skills) We did not find the right solution in the end, but Mark was very professional, nice and he followed up afterwards. The reason was because the project was complicated. In hindsight, it was too much to ask somebody to do it all in one hour.

He is extremely patient and friendly in his approach and is the only tutor who managed to get information to sink in. He helped me like a subject that I otherwise would have hated. I would wholly recommend Mark as he also genuinely cares, which is a welcome surprise for a grinds tutor. He is easily the best around in terms of giving grinds in this subject.

He grounded me well with the basics in our first couple of sessions before focusing on queries, one of the more complex areas of Access. He provided great explanations of the different types of queries and examples of them. Mark was very patient, and most of the sessions lasted close to 1.5 hours and still only accepted €50, his hourly rate. I would highly recommend Mark to anyone who needs help with Microsoft Access or databases in general.

He was very understanding of the difficulties I faced and was very assuring and instilled a lot of confidence in me that I didn't think I had. The one particular quality Mark possessed that stood out to me was the high level of knowledge he had about databases and Microsoft Access. For everything I didn't understand, he was able to find a solution very quickly. His communication skills were also particularly impressive and he was easy to have a discussion with. We had 1 two hour session. You were eager to come back for the another lesson, but we just couldnt find an agreeable time. You were over 30 minutes late for the session, but I still made sure we did the full 2 hours.
We completed all the challenges you sent over in advance.
I sent you a follow up message the next day to see how you found the lesson and with plans for the next step. You responded with "It was nice and intense. I was also after all day coding so my brain was not fresh". I would suggest this was the key factor in the pass over of knowledge not being great.
