Personal Description:

A dynamic and highly experienced Modern Foreign Language and English teacher and online tutor of French & Spanish !

I have gained over 25 years experience inclusive of 12 years international teaching experience, 9 of which were in France and 3 in Spain at secondary level.
Registered fully with the teaching council in Spanish,French & English.

My qualifications include a double honours degree, an honours PGDE and further PG Diploma in Spanish.
My teaching background in Ireland, includes a broad range of secondary schools in addition to tailor made differentiated tuition for state exams and DELF and ESL and extensive online tuition.

Tutoring Experience:

My career commenced as a 'répétitrice' / 'assistante' at a private secondary school in Haute Savoie, ESCR.
In addition, I taught English for 2 years in Lyon & 7 years in Paris in 'formation continue' language schools. Furthermore, I taught both English and French in Valencia (where I lived for 3.5 years) at a secondary school. I am currently teaching French, Spanish and English at secondary level full time where my students have been very successful in their exams. I offer tuition via Zoom on Wednesdays and (some weekends exam time only).

As I have learnt four foreign languages, I am very patient and can facilitate your learning with tailor made strategies for your unique style to help you succeed.

1) How will my tuition be structured?

*Following an initial lesson, I offer a further 4 as part of a 5 lesson bundle.

These can be renewed after each mini course.

The option to do 2 classes per week nearer exams and prior to the French & Spanish orals is also available.

2) Can I choose my own timetable ?

I will do my very best to accommodate your request if feasible.

3) What is the cost of my lessons ?

If the student is happy with the teaching methods, teaching style and progress after their first lesson and wishes to continue, these are payable in advance as part of their tailor made course of 5.

€ 5 40 zoom lessons ( 40 minutes) with follow up exercises = €160

4) How can I be assured I am making progress in my language?

Your new language competency, your results and your newly acquired confidence will all attest to your real progress and keep you motivated !

5 ) Are learning tips and strategies provided ?

Absolutely, each lesson is tailored made to suit the learners aims and style and with relevant linked digital resources!



Rescheduling policy *

If a student needs to reschedule a lesson,I request 24 hours notice where possible,and I will hold the lesson as per my longstanding policy.Should a student wish to switch their Wednesday lesson to a Saturday slot this is also possible with notice.
