Personal Description:
I'm an historian who obtained a PhD in American labour history from the University of Ulster. I have published articles, peer reviewed journal submissions, reviewed books, and presented papers at conference throughout Ireland and the UK. Areas of expertise includes American history and Irish history.
Tutoring Experience:
I was employed for three semesters at UCD School of History where I delivered tutorials relating to the early modern and modern periods of Irish history to classrooms of twenty students. Acting as the first point of contact between students and the Module Coordinator, I was responsible for grading assignments, and exam scripts, and providing feedback to students.
Approach to Grinds:
I like to take an holistic approach to teaching where my style is adapted to suit the needs of the student. I've an expertise in examining primary and secondary sources, and in structuring essays. If my student is looking for a more general approach I can provide that also.
