Personal Description:
Hi! My name is Liadh. I have a Bsc from UCD in Mathematics and Philosophy. I achieved 565+ points in my Leaving Cert and I am excited to one day become a secondary school teacher. I am passionate about teaching and learning, and I work well with students of all ages. I find teaching very rewarding and I am extremely committed to helping my students reach their educational goals, be it tackling Leaving Cert maths, keeping up with schoolwork, or deepening their understanding of a particular subject.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been tutoring students in maths (aged 12-18) for over three years, helping them achieve their full potential in exams, keep up with schoolwork and understand challenging topics. I have experience teaching maths through Irish as well as English, and I have taught history, english and science for junior cycle. I have also on numerous occasions given casual grinds to family and friends. I have experience teaching junior and senior cycle students, as part of my role as a cinnire tí in Coláiste Chamuis Irish college. I studied physics, applied maths and chemistry for my Leaving Cert, and gained valuable teaching experience in study groups.
Approach to Grinds:
I believe every student has a unique set of abilities, paired with a unique learning style. I feel our schools often do not allow students the space to explore their own learning style, because the pressures of a hefty curriculum do not allow teachers the time to properly cater to each individual. I believe the major advantage of one on one grinds to be the elimination of impersonal and universal teaching methods. I will design each lesson to fit each students needs. My goal is to help students understand the key concepts behind each topic, so they can perform just as well in exams as in the classroom, by learning to apply their core skills to a variety of topics. Classroom assignments are predictable, whereas exams are not.

Liadh is patient, logical, understands the students difficulties and takes time to make sure they understand and can use the knowledge she gives them.
I am so grateful we found Liadh for my daughter, I can only imagine how stressful the LC would have been without her.
I highly recommend Liadh to all LC honours students who need a tutor.
Thank you Liadh, we really apprecite your work.
Your daughter was a pleasure to work with! She really deserved that result!
Liadh was excellent from the start. She built a rapport quickly with my daughter. They spent an hour per week together online and it really helped give my daughter the structure, insight and ultimately confidence to develop and improve.
Would highly recommend Liadh.
I am very sorry to have missed a class. As I explained to you, I had a family emergency.
Kind regards,
Liadh
My daughter’s maths grade has improved since starting with Liadh. Thanks!
