Personal Description:
I am a qualified secondary school Chemistry teacher with a PhD in Chemistry Education. I am Head of Chemistry in my current school.
Tutoring Experience:
10 years of experience teaching Chemistry to Higher Level. Currently Head of Chemistry in my school. 12 years of experience giving grinds to secondary school students
Approach to Grinds:
Grinds are tailored to the individual student's needs. In general, topics are broken down into manageable chunks and when the student is ready and comfortable with the material, exam questions are tackled.
A deep understanding of exam questions, marking schemes and exam technique is vital for succeeding at Leaving Cert Chemistry. This is a core focus of my Senior Cycle grinds.
Junior Cycle students require a mixture of knowledge with the ability to explain and expand thoughts and reasonings. This is a core focus of my Junior Cycle grinds.
