Personal Description:

I am a graduate of UCD and have taught English and History to all levels. I enjoy teaching and have worked with boys and girls during my teaching career. I also train teachers in their profession. I am currently completing a masters degree.

Tutoring Experience:

I have vast experience teaching English and History to all levels. I have been teaching in a Community School for many years. I have tutored students in their own homes. I found this very enjoyable and results have been very satisfactory for students. I am still in contact with these students and I know they would be happy to share their learning experience with you. I have also worked as a state examiner at Leaving Certifica**Contact Detail Removed**vel. I regularly attend conferences to keep fully informed on all matters relating to syllabus, exam papers and preparation for both Junior Certificate and Leaving Certificate.

Approach to Grinds:

I do a lot of talking about the subject and encourage active responses from the students. I use visual aids, where appropriate but also encourage and advise students how to research their subject area. I also assist students in making their own notes. I offer a wide range of tips on how to study and prepare for exams. The sessions are lively with an emphasis on learning for enjoyment rather than cramming for exams. I am comfortable with the texts and can impart information in a relaxed way. I give students assignments and correct them after each session with appropriate feedback.
