Information About Hugo - Kinsealy-Drinan tutor

Personal Description:

My name is Hugo, I'm a second year Electronic Engineering student in University College Dublin. I have a great passion for maths and the sciences, as well as coding and robotics. I also love cars and motorsport, music (I play piano and guitar) and I have a keen interest in History and English literature. I am based in Dublin and offer maths, physics and english grinds online at completive prices and to fit suit a wide range of time slots. Don't hesitate to message me with any quereies!

Tutoring Experience:

I have 8 months prior teaching experience with Classhub, another online grinds platform. During this time I taught junior certificate maths to several students as well as leaving certificate physics and english. I also worked as a mentor at a karting track in early 2022, teaching secondary school children of all ages about maths in racing, and how it can be applied to gain an advantage on-track.

Approach to Grinds:

My approach to teaching grinds is the same approach I use for myself to learn anything; consistency, patience and fostering interest in the subject. I believe the best way for a child to learn is to show them the exciting real-world applications of the topic at hand, and get them to think critically to realise the importance and exciting potential of what they're learning. Combining this with consistant practice problems/past paper questions and a friendly learning environment where questions are encouraged, and I have an approach that I believe works well in developing interest and equipping a student with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in that subject.
