Hi, my name is Conor, and I'm a 4th-year medical student at UCD with a passion for education and learning. I believe in empowering students by providing them with the tools and strategies they need to excel in their studies. Throughout my time in medical school, I've seen what learning methods work best and what don’t. My approach to giving grinds is student-centered, adaptable, and focused on helping them achieve their academic goals. When it comes to learning, the most important aspect is ensuring that the student truly understands the material. A clear indication of this is when the student can confidently explain the topic in their own words. To reinforce this understanding, I use active recall techniques, encouraging students to retrieve information from memory rather than simply reviewing it. Additionally, I incorporate spaced repetition into our sessions, which helps solidify the material in long-term memory and prevents forgetting. These methods not only promote deeper learning but also build the student’s confidence in their abilities
