Personal Description:

Hi, I'm Conor a 20 year old currently pursuing an Arts degree with a major in History and minor in Sociology at UCC. I went to an all-Irish primary and secondary school and possess a fluency in Irish. In college during my first year I took Irish and even though I've dropped it for my second year in favour of sociology, when I go on to do teaching I will be permitted to teach Junior Cycle Irish. I'm hoping to do secondary school teaching one day and have a major passion for history. I possess Garda Vetting which I can produce upon request, I'm also a certified first aider.

Tutoring Experience:

I have tutored my younger cousins in Primary school history and in leaving cycle history. I've also assisted a friend of mine with his leaving cert history and Irish which he is currently going through.

Approach to Grinds:

I have a deep passion for history, and the inspiring teachers I had during my school years have shaped my approach to tutoring. This passion drives me to share my enthusiasm with others, bringing energy and engagement to every lesson. I have a deep understanding of the Irish language and understand how to work with those lacking fluency. I focus on identifying the specific areas where students struggle, ensuring we address these challenges effectively. My approach is step-by-step, helping students understand each sub-topic and how it connects to the bigger picture. I aim to tell a story with the material, allowing students to see the relevance and value in what they’re learning, making the subject come alive.
