Information About Caoimhe - Galway tutor

Personal Description:

I am currently a fourth year medical student at Queen's University, Belfast. I achieved 602 points in my Leaving Certificate in 2019 including H1s in Biology, Chemistry, Irish, German and English. In my Junior Certificate in 2016, I achieved an A grade in all 10 subjects. In secondary school, I was awarded the academic student of the year four times and received the Credit Union Award for the best Junior Certificate grade in 2016. I reached the final of the Irish Junior Science Olympiad in 2016 as well as the final of the Irish Biology Olympiad in 2017. I was also awarded an excellence scholarship from the University of Galway based on my Leaving Certificate results. I have achieved Suzuki Level 11 in Cello. I appreciate the importance of a good work-life balance and enjoying running and playing music in my spare time.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been tutoring students for the past couple of years so I have an extensive knowledge of the Leaving Certificate Biology, Chemistry, Irish and Junior Certificate Science course contents. I also have plenty of tips and tricks for students to achieve the top grades and can guarantee that each student will receive my full attention in an effort to achieve their full potential.

Approach to Grinds:

I have a friendly approach to grinds with students. I am thorough and ensure that students understand each topic before moving on. I have gathered plenty of study tips and tricks over the years which have helped me to succeed and I will share these with students during our lessons. I various techniques to explain topics tailored to the particular subject e.g… using exercises and examples. I also place a heavy emphasis on the exam material which is essential to achieving the top grades. I appreciate that every student is different and so will work with each individual to figure out what works best for them and identify areas they may struggling with. I will then use this as a basis for our lessons.

I am hard-working and reliable and have chosen to offer grinds in subjects that I have a real understanding and knowledge of. In this way, I can guarantee students will be getting bang for their buck!
