Information About Bojan - Trim tutor

Personal Description:

I am from Serbia and I have been living in Ireland for the last 5 years. I hold a PhD in Immunology from Trinity College Dublin. Prior to that, I completed the MSc in Genetics in France and Norway. I also hold a BSc in Biology so I possess a wide knowledge in all biological disciplines. I have been very passionate about science since I was a child. My father and my uncle are biology teachers and they are the most responsible for my early interest in science. I am a friendly and easy going person. My other interests are music and sports. I play guitar and I love basketball.

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught genetics during my first year of Masters studies. This included tutoring a number of students, providing the theoretical background and helping them in solving the practical assignments. Also, over the course of my PhD, I have trained a number of undergraduate students and interns in various techniques as well as given them theoretical understanding of a number of disciplines.I have always loved teaching which I inherited from my parents who are both professional teachers, and I have always tried to help them while tutoring students, setting up exercises and assignments.

Approach to Grinds:

I always aim to make students feel comfortable and relaxed which is very important. I try to encourage them to ask questions and never feel that a question is too basic. I start by explaining the general principles of a chapter and by asking a few simple questions to determine the level of understanding. Then I go to more in depth study of the scientific principles, which is exam focused and aims to prepare a student to deal with the possible exam questions.
