Personal Description:

I am a highly qualified second level teacher of Mondern Languages, having graduated with First Class Hons in my BA. As I result, I was awarded a scholarship for a Master's Degree in French, after which I qualified to become a secondary school teacher in Ireland.

I enjoy the Arts of all types whether it be drama, music & other performance. I live with my family in Co. Kildare and enjoy the outdoors, walking my dog, yoga and keep fit. I also practice mindfulness and meditation which keeps me calm & centered.

Tutoring Experience:

I have nearly 30 years of teaching experience to all ages from teens and young adult to adults. I've worked in a variety of settings (state schools, summer schools, one-to-one tutoring & online). I currently teach EFL to Erasmus+ volunteers in a non-formal community setting, supporting them in the running of drama workshops for young people.

Approach to Grinds:

I thrive off the teacher-student relationship and find great satisfaction seeing someone grasp a particular concept, increase their skill level and gain confidence in their own ability. The quality of this relationship can be the difference in the student's success. I encourage a relaxed & supportive atmosphere in my classes where the emphasis is always on the progress made rather than on mistakes.
