Personal Description:

Institute of Education teacher qualified in Chemistry and Mathematics.

Hold an honours degree in Chemical & Pharmaceutical Science (BSc).
Hold a Professional Masters of Education from DCU, which is a requirement to teach students at second level.
Additionally, obtained a first class honours in a professional Masters of Mathematics from the University of Limerick.

Tutoring Experience:

11+ years experience teaching Chemistry, Science and Mathematics, in both secondary schools and Universities across Ireland.
2+ years experience teaching Chemistry and Mathematics in the UK, to both GCSE and A level students.
Vast knowledge and experience, in teaching different curriculums.

Currently teaching Chemistry at the Institute of Education.
Tutoring exam year students during the school term, in taught subjects.
Former tutor at DCU in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.
SEC examiner.
Correcting state exams each year offering a better understanding of assessment criteria, which leads to students success.

Approach to Grinds:

Students will have access to notes that cater and align with the leaving cert questions.
My approach to tutoring is very much dependent on each student and their learning style. I like to begin with an overall coverage of topics that students may have difficulty with. Once the student is comfortable with understanding the concepts in each topic, we then progress onto examination questions from past papers and mock papers.
