Personal Description:

I'm a 27-year-old Doctor (SHO) previously studying Graduate Entry Medicine in UL.

I also hold a First class honours BSc. majoring in Neuroscience from University College Dublin (a four year degree that incorporates a two year general science element). I endeavour to help anyone who wants to further their understanding of Clinical Medicine & Biomedical science.

I also completed a 6-month exchange program to the University of Queensland, Australia, attending several seminars at the Queensland Brain Institute, gaining crucial international experience into different styles of scientific teaching. I hold a publication on the effects of COVID 19 on acute stroke medicine. Concomitantly, after completing a laboratory-based thesis into how 'mutations in ER-shaping proteins affect autophagy using Drosophila melanogaster as a model of HSP' - I can provide methods how to effectively decipher scientific literature…

Tutoring Experience:

During my first two years of college I gave grinds in secondary school and college level science, but due to the workload in my final two years I was unable to do so. As a doctor I believe it is important to assist others in furthering their knowledge wherever possible.

Approach to Grinds:

I believe learning is best achieved in a friendly environment where student and facilitator discuss, challenge and integrate previous knowledge and novel concepts through a structural framework designed to optimise learning.
