Personal Description:

My name is Aine and I am a 2nd Year Graduate Entry Medicine Student at the University of Limerick. I received my Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) from University College Dublin with First Class Honours. I also received a First Class Honours in my MSc in Psychology from King's College London, coming second in my class overall. I completed the GAMSAT medical school entry exam that includes biology, chemistry, physics and essay writing, with a competitive score that gave me an offer for medical school. If you or your son/daughter would like tutoring in the sciences, psychology, APA referencing or essay writing, I would love to work with you, whether that be for school or university.

Tutoring Experience:

I really enjoy tutoring and passing on any knowledge I have gained through my experience that can help someone else. Whilst completing my Masters, I tutored school aged children in London after school with their homework. I am currently a tutor for first year medical students. As I also play the harp, I have taught one to one music lessons for many years.

Approach to Grinds:

My approach is collaborative, working together to find areas that the student struggles with. I aim to increase their confidence with the ultimate goal of achieving better grades. My preferred method is to work through sample questions to not only to learn the content, but also to improve exam technique.
At the end of each lesson, I ask the student what went well, and what would they like to change about the tutoring session. I then incorporate this into my lesson planning.
