Tutoring Experience:
I have been tutoring friends, peers, and classmates independently, mainly in Math and Economics, throughout high school and university. I am comfortable teaching individually as while as in groups.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach to tutoring has always been to help understand "why" are trying to solve this problem and then to understand the "how". I try and help students learn this way as, in my experience, it helps them retain and understand concepts far longer than just walking through the solution to the problem. I try and implement this way of thinking by first breaking down the problem into concepts and ideas that they may already understand and then second by helping them piece the rest together by explaining "why" the following concepts are needed and "how" they are going to affect the end solution.
