Personal Description:

Hello! I'm Lewis and I am currently a year 2 undergraduate in the psychology programme of Western University. I'm from China and I'm capable of teaching either Chinese, psychology or both! I'm a good tutor and would love to start tutoring in summer. I can speak Mandarin in the native level and English proficiently second language. I love learning new languages and I am currently learning Japanese and French. I also enjoy tabletop games and tabletop roleplaying games, as well as some video games. It's great pleasure and an honour to become your tutor!

Tutoring Experience:

Although I have not taught my subjects before, I have volunteered as an IELTS assistant for 2 months in a Chinese international education institution in 2022. Through the teaching experience, I have acquired skills to communicate and assist students from all levels of education and socioeconomic backgrounds. I'm patient, thoughtful and a great listener to understand students and their needs and expectations.

Tutoring Approach:

Tutoring will be happened online via Zoom and I will be using powerpoint slides to help my tutoring. Students are welcomed to make comments and ask questions about the contents I tutor. I also provide practices for contents weekly and if students are comfortable with quizes, I may also provide some easy quizes to test their understanding. Students can ask me for help of their assignments and eassys, and I will guide them to write a good essay by building up their logic and reasoning. Students can also ask for the slides after tutoring for any revision.
