Personal Description:
I believe that the best way to explain accounting concepts such as how to read financial statements is to break the material into bite-sized morsels, ensuring that students are comfortable with the first piece of it before you overwhelm them with more information. I am comfortable teaching courses such as intermediate accounting, personal finance, and managerial accounting. I can also teach students Spanish to expand the professional opportunities available to them.
Tutoring Experience:
I have a bachelor's in Accounting and Economics and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania, so I am well-versed in all of the material that an economics tutor is expected to teach.
Tutoring Approach:
First, I present the concept and how to approach practice exercises dealing with it. Then, I provide practice questions so that I can listen to how my student approaches the problem, making corrections as needed. Finally, I relate the material to real-life applications to drive it home.
