I had a great session with Jack. He managed to lift the pressure and the seriousness off of singing, which is not something I’m used to doing in front of people, all while keeping a nice focus on technical improvement. His knowledge and experience showed when he was able to accurately determine what level I was at in the beginning, and then by pinpointing idiosyncratic areas of improvement. In one session there were noticeable advances in some key technical areas and I left with detailed instructions on how to sharpen those bits up on my own. But maybe most importantly, it was my comfort in singing under analysis that improved. He is a knowledgable and experienced musician and a perfect teacher for low-pressure learning environments.
