To First Tutors, I have had four excellent lessons with Anita Steele to date. I have found Anita to be very professional with a very clear idea of my needs as a complete keyboard beginner. At the first lesson Anita quickly identified and helped me to unravel my muddled thoughts on what I wanted from the lessons. Then she helped me with the correct seating position and correct way of moving my hands up and down the keyboard. During this lesson she also identified and quickly corrected the ‘bad habits’ that I had already started to pick up. Finally, from the three work books she had recommended I obtain before we started the lessons, she selected three short pieces for me to practice, the emphasis on developing my ability to play clear notes and move my hands with conficence. I am very pleased with Anita’s teaching style and feel very fortunate to be working with her.

Jake is an excellent trumpet teacher! In the short amount of time that I have been learning with Jake, my ability and range on the trumpet have increased so much more than I ever expected. He is very good at helping you grasp difficult concepts by painting word pictures, as a lot of trumpet technique is very subtle and hard to describe. I have thoroughly enjoyed all of my lessons, and would recommend Jake to anyone at any stage of learning the trumpet! His tone is also incredible, and something to strive for!!
