I was nervous and falling apart on the first lesson and could hardly sing. Simon was very patient and encouraging. I have now had my 4th lesson and there is a noticeable improvement in my confidence and singing. Simon, I can tell totally understands the necessity for allowing his pupils to gain confidence, without judging them too harshly in the beginning. This is very motivational, as all of us have weaknesses in our voices sometimes, especially when we first start. I have chosen to have 15 mins piano theory and 45 mins singing. Simon is a very good pianist and can play anything that I have presented him with. I am trying opera songs at the moment , for the first time. Simon is my first singing tutor, so not quite sure how to score, but I enjoy the lessons and it keeps me focused on my music and on improving the way I sing. I practise at home in between lessons. I find him a good confidence builder. I am a mature pupil. Ms S. Watts.
