As well as teaching me how to play the instrument, he is already introducing me to improvisation, which is one of the main reasons I wanted to learn sax. He is patient but challenges me to push ahead, and is always willing and able to answer my questions, whether they are to do with playing technique or the music theory underpinning improvisation.
