Personal Description:
I offer lessons in Violin, Viola and Theory of Music. I have been playing the Violin for over 40 years and the Viola for over 30 years. I play socially in many local orchestras and play frequently in a string quartet. I have many years experience in teaching both of these instruments and teach mainly from my music room at home.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been teaching the Violin, Viola and Theory of Music privately for over 25 years and have references and evidence of exam results achieved by my past and present students. in the last couple of years alongside my private teaching I been teaching a small number of children at a local Junior school and I am fully CRB checked.
Tutoring Approach:
I tailor my teaching to suit the needs of the individual student. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses and learn at different rates. I teach both children and adults and always encourage students to take exams but am happy for students to just learn for pleasure as well. I teach the ABRSM exam syllabus.
