Personal Description:

I am a very enthusiastic and passionate piano teacher.My international experience of teaching has benefitted me in many ways of teaching and performing the piano. I am still performing and study and learn from overseas tutors . I am fluent in English and can also speak German .

Tutoring Experience:

I have over more than 30 years of teaching , 20 years , of only piano teaching on a self -employed basis.I also taught TEFL in China and Taiwan .

this year , my Trinity grade 8 student who is 16 years old, received 82% .My othe r student received 93% for grade 3 .Another intermediate Student received the price for the best Baroque category performance , grade 6 level at the Pietermaritzburg eistedfodd in South Africa. I had overall 10 students, male and female , practical exam entries this year, from Trinity and Unisa. exam boards in SA.

Tutoring Approach:

I am very patient in teaching and I enjoy teaching the correct technical ways , especially , legato touch.I enjoy teaching little children who have a musical talent and likes to perform in front of an audience.

My hope for all children and teenagers is to make the piano their friend for life.Chatting about composers and topics about instruments etc, forms part of my teaching. I do make sure theory lessons are part of their musical journey.
