Personal Description:
Since graduating from the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) in 2014, I’ve had the good fortune to compose, record, release, promote and tour my own music, alongside organising music for private events and offering 1:1 group and band music tuition.
I am a member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians (ISM), ISM Registered Private Teacher, and a member of the Registry of Guitar Tutors (RGT) at the London College of Music.
Tutoring Experience:
I have 12 years teaching experience, working with complete beginners, professionals, children, adults, autistic, ADHD and Dyslexic pupils.
Tutoring Approach:
Each one of my lessons is tailored to the pupil, there is no "one size fits all" curriculum. Every pupil is taught and encouraged to pursue the musical direction they choose with confidence. Getting the pupil playing, "doing" and engaging with the music as quickly as possible is the aim of each lesson. Theory and contextual information is taught through the music the pupil enjoys (artists/bands/pieces) and is used to supplement their interest.
The most important aspect of the lesson is the pupil enjoying their time!
I tutor both 'Practical' and 'Theory' exams for RGT, RSL and Trinity. I do not pressure pupils to study 'Grades', but will offer pupils guidance on the options available to them when asked.
Parents are welcome to sit in and play along in lessons (particularly with young) children at no extra cost.
Both 'In-Person' and 'Online' tuition are available
