Personal Description:
My name is Ulyana and I specialize in teaching music,and work with children. I graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Since I have played the musical instrument from the age 5,music will always be a part of me and me and I would like to pass on the many years of hapiness which I have experienced as a result.Music has led me to meet many interesting people ,play many varieed concerts,and also to have many amazing experiences travelling to different countries,playing in different venues.
Tutoring Experience:
At present I am employed by**Removed By Admin**music school, teaching about 40 students, between the ages of 4 and 65.
Between 2012 and 2019 over 200 ABRSM exams (grades 1-8) have been passed by my students in violin/viola/piano/music theory/singing.
Tutoring Approach:
An energetic,experienced and creative music teacher with a proven ability to get the very best of pupils.Able to demonstrate and encourage high standards of professionalism and having a capability to support aspiring young musician. Due to the quarantine situation, I offer online lessons, which I have found to work very well.

I was obviously a bit apprehensive for my first lesson, wondering if I'd be good enough, would I get a second lesson, etc. However, Ulyana very quickly put me at ease with her calm approach and helped me feel a bit more confident to at least give it a good try. I have practiced as much as I can, when I have been able to and definitely looking forward to my second lesson with her this week.

From Irene (/5): I am sure Ulyana is an experienced tutor however I found her unsuitable for my sister. She was not able to connect with my sister and establish a good tutoring relatonship.
From Dean (/5): Ulyana took over tutoring my son at piano a few months before their Grade 1 exams, as they weren't progressing as well under their previous tutor. She quickly identified strengths and weaknesses, and areas that needed greater attention. The improvement was swift, and my son passed his exam. I'm not sure if he would have passed without Ulyana's input. I would definitely recommend her!
From Louis (/5): Ulyana has been fantastic with my 3 year old (just turned 4)son. Always punctual. Very patient, fun, knows how far to go with him each time. (He's not good at keeping still but she manages it!) She comes to our house and so does an hour - seems like a long time for a little one, but mixes violin, theory (with a sticker book and coloured pens) and piano - sometimes with a little singing. Very enthusiastic and great with little ones.

I have found my lessons with Ulyana challenging yet productive, as Ulyana’s teaching style prompts students to gain a greater understanding of music theory. Ulyana has an excellent understanding of music, which will greatly aid any student hoping to improve their sight-reading. I have also noticed an improvement in my playing technique, as Ulyana’s close attention to detail ensures any bad playing habits are identified and corrected as soon as possible. Although Ulyana usually teaches people younger than myself, I would recommend her to adult players of all levels.
