Information About Tristan - City of London teacher

Personal Description:

I've been teaching since finishing at Music College 23 years ago.

I play and teach all styles of music from absolute beginners to experienced players.

Currently I perform with one of the UK's top funk bands and play regularly with a brass band. As well as this I have various freelance work with orchestras, big bands and function bands.

Tutoring Experience:

Private tuition for children aged 8 to adults of any age.

Current brass tutor at Esher High School

100% ABRSM exam rate at merit or above

Tutoring Approach:

Anyone can start a brass instrument and whether you've played music before or not doesn't matter. If you've got lips, tongue and can blow, you can learn :-)

I like to make all lessons as engaging and fun as possible no matter what age or level you are.

If you are interested in doing exams I put students through the ABRSM route, which I feel can sometimes be very beneficial to the students overall progress.

I don't teach from home, so will come to your house to teach, which is included in my fee.
