Personal Description:

I teach electric and acoustic guitar in a range of styles including: rock, blues, indie, jazz, folk, finger-picking, acoustic tapping and classical.

I also teach bass guitar, music theory, song-writing, recording and production.

ABRSM or Trinity Classical and Rock grades available.

I have been playing guitar for over 20 years and have a broad experience of performance, composition, song-writing, production, recording, music theory and music technology. In 2004 I complete a degree in music at the City University London, where I was awarded a First Class, and an award for outstanding achievement in my final year.

I have since been teaching guitar both privately in students homes and in schools, whilst recording and performing as a guitarist and vocalist in groups and as a solo singer/songwriter.

Tutoring Experience:

I have 15+ years instrumental teaching experience, tutoring students of all ages up to advanced levels. I teach both in students homes and in schools, and have also lead many workshops and ensembles.
Music theory, technology and composition tuition also available.

Online teaching via Zoom is also available at a reduced rate.

I believe in developing and expanding every aspect of a student's musical knowledge and awareness through the guitar.

I aim to make lessons enjoyable, helping student's to develop their natural interest and enthusiasm for the instrument, so they look forward to playing, at any level, and look forward to lessons.
