Personal Description:

Hey there! My name is Tommy and i am a full time Bass Guitarist. Most of my work is performance based and i spend a lot of time touring and playing shows not just all over the UK but also abroad. I have played all over the world including Japan, Gambia, Senegal, Germany, Italy, France, Croatia and of course all over the United Kingdom. Being a full time Bassist I have had to play many different styles of music with a variety of artists. including Reggae, Soul, R&B, Rock, Metal, Country, African and many other pop genres. No matter what genre you want to play, my mission as a teacher is to understand what my students want to gain from playing music and help them strive towards that goal!

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught many differnt ages from 12 years to 30 years in a one to one enviroment.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is getting to know my students and finding out what inspired them to pick up the bass guitar in the first place. Maybe they want to be the next Heavy metal bass super star? or perhaps they just want to play for fun, either way there is no judgement or right or wrong answer. it’s all about having fun and feeling inspired. once you have those two key ingredients you become more skilled at your craft and more open minded to trying out other styles and possibilities to music. I like to keep track of my student’s progression and introduce them to new ideas along the way, this way the student is in control of the content they want to learn but also helps them understand why it is important to expand ideas as a musician, creating an even balance of fun and work ethic in a realm they feel combatable with.
