Information About Toki - Fulham teacher

Personal Description:

I had ten years of education in opera/vocal (with three Master's degrees), so I am fairly knowledgeable about the Vocal Pedagogy and voice-building process. I am amazed by how contemporary singing works such as in Musical theatre, hence I have been teaching musical theatre singers (including professionals) while performing as a professional opera singer.

I understand there are lots of different musicianship and learning process for different people. I will try to offer the insights and exercises specifically for you.

Tutoring Experience:

Majority of my students are musical theatre actors who perform professionally in Japan. Some of them have been performing in the major company in Japan including the Les Mis. Also, I have been helping those who wants to get into the conservatories in the UK. As the latest example, my students were offered places at the Leeds Conservatoire and Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (Master musical theatre).

Tutoring Approach:

I prefer working on your voice itself first in order to build the technique with the range, strength and flexibility that you can sing whatever repertoires you like healthy and confidently. However, I am always happy to help work on a specific repertoire or your urgent need.

All backgrounds are welcome, I will teach you from exactly where you left off or the very beginning.
