Personal Description:
Tim has over thirty years of playing and recording experience, in a wide variety of bands and acts including solo work; acoustic duos; rock, country, soul and funk bands; and various tribute bands.
Playing electric, steel-string acoustic and classical guitar; bass guitar; mandolin; banjo; slide guitar; and dulcimer.
Tim brings this extensive and broad experience as a guitarist into his work as a guitar teacher and as a luthier.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been teaching guitar for the past 25 years. I have extensive experience of teaching individuals and large guitar groups, privately and in schools & colleges, in a wide range of styles.
I have Qualified Teacher Status,
Enhanced CRB/DBS clearance,
Public Liability/Professional indemnity insurance up to £1,000,000
I am an Associate of the Registry of Guitar Tutors.

I believe it is important to achieve playing success as soon as possible and this can be achieved by teaching songs and styles of music that the student likes and, in most cases, chooses.
