Personal Description:
Hi, my name is Thomas. I have graduated from Trinity College of Music on violin and the Royal Northern College of Music on viola. I have since worked as a freelance viola player playing with various orchestras, including RLPO, Royal Ballet Sinfonia, Academy of Ancient Music, Gabrieli Consort and La Serenissima.
Tutoring Experience:
I have worked for the Birmingham Music Service, where I have given violin lessons to primary and secondary aged children. I have also given private violin lessons to adults and children. I have undertaken a PGCE and gained QTS as a primary school teacher.
Tutoring Approach:
I take a personalised approach to music lessons, based on the aims of the student. You might be an adult, wanting to pick up the violin again after a few years off and simply want to have fun or you might be a child who would like a more structured approach and who is considering taking graded exams. We will approach lessons in a way which works for you!
