Information About Surya - Isleworth teacher

Personal Description:

I have lived in the Richmond Borough for most of my life, and have been teaching music for many years I was previously a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing as well as being a Yoga teacher. I am a singer, song-writer, guitarist and teach guitar, ukulele, singing and piano.
She is also a workshop facilitator and events co-ordinator and runs the **Removed By Admin**in Kingston. She performs with her students and choir members for various local charities.

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught children, young people and adults, many of whom have additional needs for many years, in schools, colleges, in creative weekends, and at home.

Tutoring Approach:

My lessons are creative and innovative and include:
Teaching you to be able to read music but also to play by ear, as well as to improvise and compose
Song writing, adapting styles and techniques as required
Learning and playing chords
Instrumentals
Strumming patterns
Learning to play your favourite songs

Optional theory including chord structures

Optional grade exams including Recital Grades or Performance Awards (which are more focussed on playing rather than musical knowledge) eg RGT (Register of Guitar Teachers), Rockschool and LCM (London College of music) and they can also be taken online, either live or recorded as well as Face to Face in Person
