Personal Description:
I am primarily a Trumpet Player but also able to teach all brass instruments at different levels. I have been a professional trumpet player for 15 years now and I specialise in all genres from early music to post - modern.

Trumpet Teacher: Junior College, Trinity College of Music (2000-2002)

I have been Teaching privaterly in the midlands since 2014.

Tutoring Approach:
I believe that the Basics of brass playing have been potentially ignored in some areas of tuition for many years now. I approach tuition by putting Breathing and Embouchure at the centre and keep it there throughout all instrumental development ensuring a solid technique which avoids issues later on in development. Music Theory is also an important part of development and I believe in a good working knowledge for all musicians. Enjoyment should be at the centre of Tuition and the emphasis should be on that as opposed to tuition to take grades and exams.
Buying books for study and exams can be costly, so I have a comprehensive workbook for each Grade with Pieces, Scales and related technical exercises to make the process easier for both the student and there finances.

The reason being is that the fee advertised was £15/hour, however after I purchased Stephen's contact details, he said that his fees are £15/30min, and that the advertised fee is incorrect.
