Personal Description:
I offer one to one tuition in piano lessons and music theory lessons.
Tutoring Experience:
I have 12 years of teaching experience. I have taught group sessions as well as 1:1 tuition. I have over 23 years performing experience from solos, playing for different services at church and playing for many choirs. I have a Bmus Hons degree in Music from Canterbury Christ Church University as a part of my degree I studied performance, music education for 1:1 tuition and music theory. I have achieved my grade 8 piano and grade 5 music theory. I have A levels in Music and Music Technology.
Tutoring Approach:
I work with students to help them toward exams (ABRSM and Trinity Guildhall) as well as pupils who wish to learn the piano ‘just for fun’.

I am now having my 4th piano lessen with Sophie , and loving every
minute, Sophie is fantastic so talented and a great teacher.
I would certainly recommend Sophie to all budding pianists
Both the children are enjoying their lessons and especially my daughter who had started not to enjoy her piano lessons at school. She seems really inspired again after only a few weeks of lessons with Sophie.
We are happy with our choice and find Sophie reliable, thoughtful and professional.
