Personal Description:

Been playing Guitar and Bass since I was a child. Learnt music theory in school and continued my education on my own terms as an adult.

Over the years I've written dozens of songs and played Guitar at friends weddings, funerals, and around campfires. Music to me is the most beautiful art form and there could never be too much of it. I play mainly Electric Guitar now, but have a strong finger style Acoustic background which I still play regularly. This translates very well to Bass styles, which I pick up and play when someone needs a Bassist. A wide base understanding of music has helped me get to where I am today. I will never stop practicing and learning new instruments, but Guitar is something I am an expert at.

I am extremely LGBTQ+ friendly as a person myself.

Tutoring Experience:

Have taught friends how to play guitar and bass at all levels. From helping someone near my own level pick up a song I learnt, to fundamentals and techniques at the beginner level. Teaching was always something I did for my friends from high school through to now. This is a skill that takes patience and understanding of another's perspective.

Tutoring Approach:

Building confidence, good fundamentals and a fun repertoire make practicing easy and enjoyable. I cater to the students personal music tastes and teach them songs they want to play. Naturally a total beginner will have to learn some easier songs at first but simplified versions of songs are possible. By watching how you play I can help guide you towards playing more easily, which will raise your ability. With a gentle nudge to play more songs, your abilities will naturally strengthen until playing is second nature.
